About
Main Street Kickboxing offers classes in Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, and Jui Jitsu. The program also includes core fitness and core training, with options for group classes, private one-on-one training, and training to compete.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Open 6 days a week
Main Street Kickboxing has been in business in Hollister since 2006. All classes are taught by well-qualified trainers with expertise across all listed areas. Head trainer Danny Kelly has over 25 years of teaching and training experience, has spent time in Thailand where Muay Thai originated, and has competed in karate, Muay Thai, and boxing. Danny Kelly has held five different titles in two weight classes, including United States ISKA Light Heavy Weight Champion and Two Time Golden Gloves Finalist, and has a 27-2-1 career record. The program states that anyone can learn to be efficient at the skills of MMA for self-defense or getting a workout, and that proper body mechanics and being a good athlete are seen as essential to becoming a good fighter. Main Street Kickboxing uses the slogan “you don’t have to be a fighter to train like one” and the statement “consistency is more important than perfection,” and states that participants could be part of something bigger than themselves.
