VolleyOC offers kid’s classes, youth summer camps, after school programs, and a competitive youth beach volleyball club. The program also offers beach volleyball tournaments, including high-level beach volleyball tournaments for kids and adults, as well as private training. In addition to youth options, VolleyOC runs adult beach volleyball classes, adult recreational classes, and Coed Adult 4 on 4 leagues, along with other beach volleyball tournaments.

VolleyOC has been in operation at least from 2010 through 2020. The founder and director is Ed Ratledge, who is an AVP/NCAA Champion and a 20+ year professional, and as of Winter 2017 he is the 11th ranked player on the AVP. Ed Ratledge personally directs most activities, and he works with a team of coaches who are described as trained, dedicated, and enthusiastic professionals. VolleyOC states that its top priority is making sure participants love volleyball too.
VolleyOC is described as Orange County’s #1 provider of volleyball classes, tournaments and youth instruction, and as Orange County’s #1 source for all things volleyball. Its largest events are beach volleyball tournaments run for future NCAA sand volleyball athletes and next generation pros, and its biggest events are AAU sanctioned beach volleyball tournaments for kids ages 10–18. Most of VolleyOC’s instruction for youth and adult players is run through the City of Newport Beach’s Recreation Department. VolleyOC runs nearly 50 AAU sanctioned beach volleyball tournaments each year for high level youth volleyball players at its courts at Newland Street in Huntington Beach. The program is aligned with national level brands such as Paul Mitchell, Kona Deep Water, Vincere Sand Socks, and Suja Juice, and it describes itself as providing a massive platform for potential brand partners.
