VolleyOC offers kid’s classes, youth summer camps, summer camps, a competitive youth beach volleyball club, and after school programs. The program also runs adult beach volleyball classes, adult recreational classes, Coed Adult 4 on 4 leagues, beach volleyball tournaments, and private training.
• Ages: 7–18 years old
VolleyOC was founded and is directed by Ed Ratledge. Ed Ratledge is an AVP/NCAA Champion and a 20+ year professional, and as of Winter 2017, he is the 11th ranked player on the AVP. VolleyOC states that its top priority is making sure participants love volleyball too. The program’s biggest events are AAU sanctioned beach volleyball tournaments, and its largest events are beach volleyball tournaments run for future NCAA sand volleyball athletes and the next generation of pros. VolleyOC runs nearly 50 events each year for high level youth volleyball players. Most of VolleyOC’s instruction for youth and adult players is run through the City of Newport Beach’s Recreation Department, and VolleyOC is aligned with national level brands such as Paul Mitchell, Kona Deep Water, Vincere Sand Socks, and Suja Juice. VolleyOC describes itself as Orange County's #1 provider of volleyball classes, tournaments and youth instruction, and as Orange County’s #1 source for all things volleyball.
