Lil’ Chef School was established in 2010 and is led by owner and founder Tracey Doty. The program specializes in kitchen safety, teaches participants how to cook using age-appropriate techniques, and includes instruction on setting and clearing a table, proper table manners, and the use of various cooking utensils and appliances. The program also includes nutrition education and offers theme-based summer camps with assorted recipes, mini and holiday camps that create a 4-course meal with a holiday theme, and Family Fun Night where families make 2–3 complete recipes together. Adult Cooking is available for adult team-building parties with a minimum of 6 participants, and classes are often offered on school campuses during and after school hours.

Parent feedback includes reports of children enjoying weekly classes, birthday parties, Parents Night Out, and summer camps, with several parents noting positive experiences with chef instructors and the cooking activities. Testimonials describe children making items such as pizzas at birthday parties, participating in outdoor cooking competitions after attending classes, and asking to return for additional events.
