UC San Diego Craft Center Classes & Workshops offers quarterly classes and workshops, along with demonstrations, lectures, exhibits, and art sales. It also offers open studio access in the jewelry studio, ceramics studio, surfboard shaping bays, and woodshop.

• Classes and Workshops — Quarterly · The UC San Diego Craft Center offers a variety of quarterly classes and workshops as well as demonstrations, lectures, exhibits and art sales. Welcomes complete beginners and seasoned crafters.
• Open studio access in jewelry studio — Open studio access for current jewelry students and intermediate and advanced level jewelry practitioners.
• Open studio access in ceramics studio — Open studio memberships for current ceramics students and intermediate to advanced level ceramics practitioners.
• Open studio access in surfboard shaping bays — 1- or 3-day passes for access to surfboard shaping bays.
• Open studio access in woodshop — Scheduled open studio access via multi-visit passes for current woodshop students and intermediate and advanced level woodworking practitioners.

About the provider

The Craft Center welcomes everyone. Studio orientations are required for individual access to ceramics, jewelry, woodworking, and surfboard shaping studios, and new orientations are required if use has lapsed for a year or more. An experienced monitor is on site for jewelry, ceramics, surfboard shaping, and woodshop open studio sessions.

The Craft Center welcomes everyone. Prior to accessing studios independently, participants must have instructor approval or complete a required orientation/course as stated for each studio.
