Yoga Rascals Summer Camp includes daily yoga adventures where campers learn numerous yoga poses, play fun yoga games, and relax with imaginative yoga stories. Campers also go on nature walks and work on arts and crafts projects connected to their yoga journeys. Every day, participants embark on a different yoga adventure and create fun projects to take home from these yoga journeys.

Yoga Rascals Summer Camp is part of the Yoga Rascals program, which was established in 2007. The program’s founder, Sünje O’Clancy, MA, E-RYT, RCYT, RPYT, began teaching yoga to students of all ages in 1998. Certain class components and poses are based on children’s input, with children described as collaborators who come up with ideas. Yoga Rascals’ program has been described as “inspired by children, praised by teachers, and acclaimed by parents.”
Yoga Rascals is California’s first Yoga Alliance approved Registered Children’s Yoga School (RCYS). In 2012, it became the first Registered Children’s Yoga School in California approved by Yoga Alliance, the governing body of yoga teachers in the United States. Yoga Rascals’ 95-hour course qualifies participants for Yoga Alliance registration as a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT), which is described as a globally recognized credential.
From the onset, the Yoga Rascals program was taught in preschools, elementary schools, libraries, and through YMCA community outreach, and later expanded to high schools, yoga studios, and community centers. Yoga Rascals classes are offered in a variety of locations in the San Diego and Sacramento area. Partial scholarships are available to low-income families.
