Since its inception in 2001, Called Up Camps have been the backbone of this ministry to the baseball community, and this camp and discipleship model was added under the umbrella of FCA in 2010. The leadership team includes Ben Orr (Ministry Director, General Inquiries, Marketing/Partnerships/Donations), Isaac Friesen (Camps/Collegiate Internships), and Jesse Lopez (Youth Teams/Junior Coach Program). The program’s stated vision is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes, and its mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. Unique features listed for the camps include the Camp Champion Program, a Junior Coach Program, Bible Time/Coaches Time, Know Your Coaches Testimonies, an official HummBabe Camp T-shirt, an official CapX Team Cap, and lunch included every day, along with an early registration discount that ends April 1st and a sibling discount that is automatically applied. FCA Baseball is described as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and families are also informed about opportunities to experience FCA Baseball internships in Southern California and to play for FCA travel ball teams.

The organization states that it will take its camp into new areas of Southern California to see more families introduced to Jesus, will call on baseball-loving people to volunteer and assist the ministry, and will seek to meet the lost from Primo Tapia, Mexico to Urban Santa Ana to Yorba Linda. Ministry Director Ben Orr describes FCA Baseball as “where Jesus and Baseball collide” and states that it is their desire to create and facilitate environments where God can invade the hearts and minds of athletes, coaches and all whom they influence, with the result stated as “GOD GLORIFIED and LIVES CHANGED.”
