Southern California FCA Baseball Camp

Southern California FCA Baseball offers baseball camps, FCA travel ball teams, FCA Baseball internships, the Shepherds Program, and team ministry. The program invites participants to spend a summer in Southern California training in sports ministry and to compete for Christ on FCA travel ball teams. Called Up Camps are described as the ultimate baseball camp and have been the backbone of the ministry to the baseball community, using methods described as ENGAGE, EQUIP, AND EMPOWER and a model called The Chain of Influence.

• Price: FCA Baseball is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations and contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Since its inception in 2001, Called Up Camps have been the backbone of the ministry to the baseball community, and this camp and discipleship model was added under the umbrella of FCA in 2010. The leadership team includes Ben Orr as Ministry Director, General Inquiries contact, and Marketing / Partnerships / Donations contact; Isaac Friesen for Camps / Collegiate Internships; and Jesse Lopez for Youth Teams / Junior Coach Program. The stated vision is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes, and the stated mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. One testimonial from Ministry Director Ben Orr describes FCA Baseball as where Jesus and baseball collide and states that the result is “GOD GLORIFIED and LIVES CHANGED.” The program’s community involvement includes taking camps into new areas of Southern California, calling on baseball-loving people to volunteer and assist the ministry, and seeking to meet people from Primo Tapia, Mexico to urban Santa Ana to Yorba Linda.
