The Nellie Gail Ranch Tennis Club Junior Program offers tennis programs for juniors that include private lessons, junior clinics for all ability levels, kids’ summer camps, and USTA Junior Team Tennis leagues. Juniors also have access to pickleball as part of the club’s activities. The program takes place at a facility with 10 lighted hardcourts and 8 pickleball courts, and it also offers ball machine rental, racket repairs, and restringing.
• Schedule: Tennis courts are open 6 am–10 pm Monday–Friday and 6 am–5 pm Saturday–Sunday; pickleball courts are open 9 am–8 pm Monday–Friday and 9 am–5 pm Saturday–Sunday; the clubhouse opens at 8 am daily.
The Nellie Gail Ranch Tennis Club Junior Program is under the direction of Rogan Egerton and his staff of certified Tennis Professionals. The staff includes five full-time tennis professionals and a broader staff of certified Tennis Professionals. According to the program’s mission statement, the Junior Development Program environment is fun yet challenging with good discipline and organization, with a strong emphasis on reception, movement, technical and tactical skills, and stroke development. The mission statement also notes that the experienced coaches are expert skill developers, have specialized child development knowledge, and passionately believe in Long Term Athlete Development. The club offers a court reservation system that allows members to enjoy social tennis with players of comparable abilities, and public memberships are available. Juniors in the program compete with other local clubs in USTA Junior Team Tennis leagues.
