About
Summer Tennis & Swim Camp includes tennis instruction, tennis drills, tennis games, and pool time. Campers take part in organized warm-ups followed by scheduled tennis activities and then swim during designated pool time.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, Week 1 June 8; Week 2 June 15; Week 3 June 22; Week 4 June 29; Week 5 July 6; Week 6 July 13; Week 7 July 20; Week 8 July 27; Week 9 August 3; Week 10 August 10. Little Hitters (5–8 years) daily session 10:30am–2:30pm; Challengers (9 years+) daily session 10:30am–3:00pm.
• Price: Little Hitters (5–8 years) 10:30am–2:30pm $280. Challengers (9 years+) 10:30am–3:00pm $315.
Little Hitters follow a daily schedule of 10:30am drop off, 10:30–11:00am warm up, 11:00am–1:30pm tennis instruction, drills, and games with a rest break from 11:30–11:45am and lunch from 12:15–12:45pm, then pool time from 1:30–2:30pm and 2:30pm pick up. Challengers follow a daily schedule of 10:30am drop off, 10:30–11:00am warm up, 11:00am–2:00pm tennis instruction, drills, and games with a rest break from 11:45am–12:00pm and lunch from 12:45–1:15pm, then pool time from 2:00–3:00pm and 3:00pm pick up. Lunch options are available to preorder a few weeks before camp starts, a snack and drink are provided during a break, and campers have the option to purchase ice cream after lunch. All players receive a DP Tennis Academy x Nellie Gail Ranch Tennis Club T-shirt at the start of camp, which is optional to wear, and this is a drop-off camp with a 10-minute grace period for parents to confirm kids are settled in.
For the past 31 years, Nellie Gail Ranch Tennis Club has run Summer Tennis & Swim Camp as one of the largest and mostly positively reviewed camps of its kind in Southern California. The camp is led by DP Tennis Academy Owner and Founder, Rogan Egerton. It is described by the program as a fantastic introduction to the sport in a safe and fun learning environment. The camp is 5-star reviewed, has sold out for the past 6 years, and spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Dana Point Tennis LLC is associated with Nellie Gail Ranch Tennis Club.
