Swim With Phyn

Swim With Phyn offers swimming lessons and private lessons that focus on teaching babies and young children to swim by “learning through play.” Lessons use games, challenges, and bonding with caregivers, and private lessons are available from birth through 100+ years old. Infants as young as 2 weeks are able to build on natural instincts, continue to hold their breath under water, and learn how to float on their backs.

• Schedule: Lesson options Monday–Friday during daytime and evening hours, and on Saturdays during the day

Swim With Phyn focuses on teaching babies and young children to swim by “learning through play,” playing games, completing challenges and bonding with caregivers, with the purpose of learning a life-saving skill. The program states that children learn best when they are taught with love and encouragement, and when they make choices in the learning process. Julie “Phyn” Smith leads Swim With Phyn and has over 20 years of swim instruction experience. Swim With Phyn materials show a copyright range of 2011–2021. The program describes itself as different than other swim schools by offering an experienced, professional teacher, a personal relationship, and a strong community. The curriculum is specially designed for babies and toddlers.
