Summer Youth Art Camp is run by the Lake County Arts Council. The program meets Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Main Street Gallery.

The Lake County Arts Council was founded in 1981. Its stated purpose is to encourage and develop the arts and cultural activities in Lake County by coordinating, developing, sponsoring, and providing assistance in artistic and cultural endeavors. The Council is a not-for-profit volunteer organization and a member of the California Arts Council, which is the officially recognized art organization to the State and Local Partnership Program. It serves as the State-Local Partner for Lake County to participate in the California Arts Council’s State-Local Partnership Program. As of March 8, 2023, the Board of Directors has approved and dedicated three seats on the Board for cultural bearers.
