Lakewood Soccer Association

Lakewood Soccer Association offers Saturday Soccer for youth players ages 4 to 14. The program is co-ed recreational-level soccer with no tryouts, and teams are coached by volunteer parents. It also offers kick-off camps at the beginning of each spring and fall season, and an optional footskills session once each week during the spring season, weather permitting.

Programs

• Saturday Soccer — Pre-K - 8th grade; youth players between the ages of 4 and 14 · Saturday mornings; spring and fall seasons · Co-ed recreational-level soccer programming. No tryouts. All skill levels welcome. Teams are coached by volunteer parents. Players have at least one practice per week; LSA does not schedule practices.
• Kick-off camps — At the beginning of each season · Offered at the beginning of each spring and fall season and coached by the Lakewood High School coaches and players.
• Optional footskills session — Once each week during the spring season, weather permitting · Optional session offered each week during the spring season, weather permitting.

About the provider

For over 40 years, Lakewood Soccer Association has provided recreational-level soccer programming for area youth players through its Saturday Soccer program. It is an independent nonprofit, volunteer soccer organization under IRC section 501(c)3 and is considered tax exempt.

There are no tryouts. All games are held on Saturday mornings at Memorial Fields (Pre-K - 2nd) and Tyler Field (3rd - 8th) in the Cleveland Metroparks. LSA has moved away from age-based groupings; all teams and rosters are created by grade level instead of age brackets. Pre-K birthdates for registration are August 1, 2021 - July 31, 2022. Financial assistance is available via the Financial Assistance Request Form prior to registering.
