The mission of Academy of Excellence Preschool is to support families and children through education, therapeutic intervention, and community involvement, with a focus on partnerships with families in a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment. The teaching team consists of educated and experienced early learning and care professionals, with teachers holding degrees in education and child development or college-level training, and all staff completing and maintaining 15 hours of health and safety training plus annual and ongoing training in areas such as medication administration, mandated reporting, blood-borne pathogens, universal precautions, and Community Care Licensing Division health and safety policies. Employees are members of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the American Montessori Society, and the program offers in-service training and professional development in early childhood education, child development, S.T.E.A.M., and Montessori philosophy and strategies, supported by an on-site trainer and ongoing coaching for the teaching team.

Academy of Excellence Preschool states that it is “Exclusively Inclusive: Where every Child Belongs!” and provides inclusive education tailored to meet the needs of every child, including those with 504 plans and IEPs, with many years of experience working with children with unique needs. Teachers and families work together on development in communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem-solving, and social-emotional areas, and families can explore classrooms organized by age and stage, including Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, and School Age. Program success is described as depending on strong partnerships with each family, with teachers, administrators, and families working together to use resources within the program and the community.

Owner leadership is provided by Armani Abba. One parent testimonial describes the preschool as a blessing for their family, noting caring and attentive staff, attention to individual needs, and the help provided by transportation and extended care options. Another parent notes that teachers are wonderful and communication with parents is excellent, and a third parent highlights the inclusive approach, support for children with special education plans, and summer camps that are described as fun and educational.
