Empire Gymnastics Center offers gymnastics, kinder gymnastics, boys and girls recreational gymnastics, boys and girls team programs, tumbling, cheerleading, STUNT, gymnastics camps, and birthday parties. Kids take part in obstacle courses, games, relay races, bounce houses, foam pit time, trampolines, tumbling classes, floor exercises, trampoline routines, conditioning drills, and creative crafts during camps.

Empire Gymnastics Center states that it is founded on the philosophy that student athletes can work hard to achieve their personal best while having fun on their journey and that it has a family oriented culture where kids of all ages can feel comfortable and excited to challenge themselves to reach their personal goals while developing life skills. Empire Gymnastics Center offers several skill-based levels with progressions to help athletes reach and achieve their goals as safely as possible and provides gymnastics, tumbling, and kinder programs for kids of all ages. Coaches at Empire are described as enthusiastic, energetic, and knowledgeable from prior gym experience and in-house training.
Owner Mike Carder has over 30 years of coaching experience, has coached all levels of gymnastics and tumbling including national-level athletes, and has multiple team state titles, multiple individual state and regional champions, membership on the United States Jr National Team, and three Northern California Coach of the Year awards. Coach Tiff has been involved with gymnastics for over 35 years, has more than 25 years of competitive and recreational coaching experience, focused her education on early childhood development, and taught at a local preschool for 10 years. Coach Justin competed for the University of Washington men’s gymnastics team for four years, became an All-American on vault, high bar, and all-around, and has coached boys and girls gymnastics for four years in Washington and at Woodward West summer camp. Coach Anne-Marie finished 7th all-around at the 1990 Level 10 Nationals, was state and regional floor champion in 1993, qualified to Nationals, and has coached at all competitive levels including elite. Coach Sara earned a BA in child development with a minor in education in 2007, became Montessori certified, started coaching in 2003, taught kindergarten for three years while coaching part-time, and has 14 years of coaching experience across kinder, basic, recreational, and competitive levels 2–10, as well as cheerleading and tumbling. Coach Jen is a NAWGJ registered judge who judges in NorCal, is a credentialed special education teacher with 25 years of teaching experience, began coaching in 1998, and has coached recreational gymnastics through level 10 in California, producing state, regional, and national medal winners. Coach Mia attends Jessup University as a full-time student athlete on the STUNT team and is a three-time national champion with a background in cheer and tumbling. Coach Hayden was Level 5 State Champion in 2013 and an All-Star Team member in 2013 and 2018 as a Level 9. Coach Mariah has been coaching gymnastics off and on since 1997.
Empire parties are an hour and a half of activities that include obstacle courses, games, relay races, bounce houses, foam pit, trampolines, and more. For parties, parents provide food, drinks, party utensils, and any special decorations such as tablecloths and balloons, while Empire is responsible for entertainment, music, and cleanup. Tumbling classes are for both girls and boys, last 55–60 minutes, and are offered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels with floor exercises, trampoline routines, and conditioning drills that enhance skills in gymnastics and are described as a valuable asset for athletes in sports such as dance, karate, cheerleading, and diving. Gymnastics camps include enjoyable exercises, educational gymnastics instruction, games, and creative crafts.
Empire Gymnastics Center has been voted Best Sports Complex of Lincoln for seven years in a row and is a recipient of the 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Best of Lincoln Award for Sports Complex. The program states that together with Empire families and the community it weathered the storm of 2020.
