U.S. Baseball Academy is the nation’s largest network of instructional baseball programs, with more than 225 camps nationwide and operations in 45 states, and has served more than a quarter million players over the last 10 years. The Lincoln, California winter/spring baseball camp is coached by high school and/or college coaches from the local area, including some of the area’s top high school and college coaches. The winter baseball camp in Lincoln is directed by Bill Gibbs, Head Coach at Twelve Bridges High School, in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy, whose leadership team includes Senior Vice President Joe Marker, Director of Marketing & Operations Jeffery Lee, Camp Success Team Manager Cody Nelson, and Assistant Camp Success Team Manager Andrea Jolly. The program offers a low player-coach ratio, numerous age-specific sessions with instruction for all ability levels, and baseball training for players in grades 1–12, including clinics tailored for rec league, little league, high school, senior league, and travel team players. U.S. Baseball Academy states its mission as “Building Better Players,” with a focus on helping young players develop solid fundamentals and learn proper techniques at a young age. The program is described as a national program with a local touch and follows a consistent program across all locations developed by a national coaching and advisory staff that includes Major League players Adam Eaton, Travis Shaw, and Craig Stammen.

The camp’s Summer Training Program focuses on development in hitting, pitching, and fielding in a fun-filled environment. All participants receive a t-shirt and camp certificate, and the camp features prizes for winners. The program includes a Triple Play special that offers a choice of three skill sessions (hitting, pitching, catching, or fielding/baserunning) at a discount for 18 hours of instruction, with the option to add one additional skill at a savings off regular prices. Space is limited, pre-registration is required, and there is a “register now and pay later” option. The offseason training program is structured to get players in mid-season form while others are gathering winter rust. This year’s program is open to youth baseball players from Clayton, Gold Hill, Lincoln, Loomis, Penryn, Rocklin, Virginiatown, Whitney, and other surrounding communities.
