Friends for Life Summer Camp is a week-long day camp where campers take part in animal-related games, activities and crafts, and a carnival featuring animal related games and prizes at the end of each week. Campers work hands-on with shelter animals and learn the basics of animal handling, dog training and obedience, dog agility training, kitty playtime, and cat socialization, along with advanced animal-related crafts and games that emphasize teamwork. Camp groups are called “Beagles” for ages 10–12 and “Boxers” for ages 13–15, and some dogs in the program are Ambassador dogs that were adopted from spcaLA and have been previously assessed and are program experienced.
• Ages: 10–15 years old
• Schedule: Week-long day camp; drop off begins at 8:30am and pick up is at 12:30pm every day
• Price: $400 a week per camper
