About
Launch Pad Learning NLB offers activities in creative expression, science and discovery, and language and reading development. The program uses a play-based curriculum with hands-on activities in a structured environment, and includes potty training and extended care. Children receive homemade, “home”-cooked meals prepared in facility kitchens, and each child receives a free monthly book to encourage reading and parent-child relationships.
• Ages: 0–5 years old
• Schedule: Mon - Fri, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Launch Pad Learning NLB is an Infant Care Center and Preschool with large, sectioned play yards and a spacious classroom, and it operates as a year-round preschool. The program offers infant, toddler, and preschool care, accepts students as young as six weeks old, and provides inclusive, diverse care and preschool where all children are welcomed. It offers extended care hours Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM as a program feature, summer programs, and a diverse curriculum with activities to meet each child’s developmental needs and eliminate barriers.
Most, if not all, teachers are CPR and First Aid certified, all teachers have at least 12 ECE units and either hold or are working toward a CDE Permit, most teachers have college degrees, and many staff members are bilingual or speak more than two languages. The leadership team includes Ms. Deidre as Executive Director and Ms. Claudia (Claudia Ceballos) as Director. Launch Pad Learning NLB has more than 20 years of experience in child development and holds licenses LIC #198400548 and LIC #198400550.
The program’s stated motto is “Where every child has the opportunity to fly, jump, and venture into their best possible future,” and it describes students as exploring their world and learning from nature in a safe and encouraging environment. It states that it is a place where all children are pioneers of success, that the program is open to all persons without prejudice, bias, or preconception by any criteria, and that it does not discriminate in any way. Launch Pad Learning NLB partners with community organizations such as Westside Infant-Family Network, police and fire departments, and the cities of Long Beach, along with parents, staff, and children, to provide high quality care.
