Jue Wing Chun - Kali Academy offers training in Wing Chun Kung Fu and Filipino Kali, including an Escrima-led system enhanced by Wing Chun. Training includes partner training, group training, private training, and the use of improvised weapons. The program also includes Wing Tsun practice, Chi-Sao (“sticky hands”) training, and work on situations that involve kicks, punches, grappling, locks, and chokes.

The program is led by Sifu / Tuhon Eric Jue. The instructor is a retired International Coaching Federation (ICF) Accredited Certified Coach (ACC), has been named one of the top 20 Coaches in Los Angeles by Influence Digest, is a Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) Double-Goal Coach, and a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) 360 Coach. The program’s mission includes teaching ethical fighting with a focus on targeting with precision using just enough force and teaching the use of improvised weapons to help level the playing field for women, children, and marginalized people. Training emphasizes constraint-based learning and pressure testing, with hands-on coaching and direct feedback to keep partner work coachable and interactive. The Wing Tsun system used in the program is described as a “soft” style that recycles energy, uses trained reflexes, and is known to be economical, efficient, and direct in application, and its teaching system has been widely adopted by special combat forces units throughout Europe. The program has been rated as one of the best martial arts schools in Long Beach in 2021 and received an A+ rating, the highest possible, from the Better Business Bureau in 2023.
