MVLA Soccer Club offers tryouts, league play, the Shooting Stars beginner soccer program, and the MVLA Winter Skills Camp. The Shooting Stars Spring 2026 program runs as a 10-week session starting March 17 with weekday sessions and optional Saturday play dates. The MVLA Winter Skills Camp runs February 17–20 and focuses on ball mastery, confidence, and creativity.

MVLA Soccer Club states that it has a place for every player, from beginner to elite. The Shooting Stars beginner soccer program is described as the most popular beginner program for girls and boys in TK–3rd grade and is described as being designed to build confidence, coordination, and a love for the game in a fun, positive environment. MVLA’s mission statement says the club strives to be the nation’s leading youth soccer club with exceptional coaches to develop highly technical and tactically advanced players who are prepared to compete and succeed at the highest levels.
The leadership team includes Sporting Director Albertin Montoya, ECNL Girls Coach of the Year Esteban Sosa, and Positive Coaching Alliance 2026 National Winner coach Sarah Stanczyk. Albertin Montoya has served as a U.S. Youth National Team head coach and has led professional teams to national championships and NWSL success, and as a player he helped deliver the club’s first national championship in 1993.
MVLA teams and players have received several recognitions, including an ECNL National Championship for the MVLA U16 girls squad at the ECNL Girls National Finals and a 7th-place finish in the overall ECNL club rankings. Additional team achievements include the 2014G Pre-ECNL team as NorCal State Cup Champions, the 2011B Corinthians Green as 2026 JSC Showcase Tournament Champions, MVLA 2014G City Green taking first place in the GU12 Green Division at the Almaden Spring Kickoff, and 14G City Blue winning their league in the NorCal U13 Premier Division. Individual coaching recognition includes Esteban Sosa being named ECNL Girls Coach of the Year and Sarah Stanczyk being named a Positive Coaching Alliance 2026 National Winner.
MVLA players have been called up to youth national team camps and competitions for the United States and federations from South America. MVLA alumni have been called up to the United States U23 Women’s National Team, players have been selected for US Soccer U14 West Region Talent ID, one player has been selected to represent the Guatemala Women’s National Team in CONCACAF qualifiers, and another player has been called up to the U17 USWNT for the MIMA Cup in Spain.
