Alonzo Martial Arts offers a range of programs and activities, including Grown-Up & Me, Wee Kick, Lil Ninja, Kids and Adult Programs, as well as Taekwondo, Hapkido, basic Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kali, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Filipino Martial Arts, Empowerment Self Defense (ESD), and an Anti-Bullying Camp. Classes and camps include activities such as Boundary Setting, Mindfulness, Improv, Martial Arts, Meditation, Sports & Games, Dance, Science, and Arts & Crafts. New students are asked to sign and send a waiver form before beginning, and the first class is free for new students.

Alonzo Martial Arts has 31 years of teaching experience, with a presence in the community for 27 years. The Kids Program mission has remained the same since 1991, and the Community Outreach Program has reached thousands of kids on local school and preschool campuses since 1995. The Anti-Bullying Camp is an extension of this Community Outreach Program and is described as an immersive program for ages 6 to 12+ with daily exercises that include Boundary Setting, Mindfulness, Improv, Martial Arts, Meditation, Sports & Games, Dance, Science, and Arts & Crafts. Kids classes are taught from a Child Development perspective and use Social & Emotional Learning and a Growth Mindset, and the Kids Program emphasizes Growth Mindset and Social and Emotional Learning so kids learn to identify and express their emotions and recognize them in others to mitigate conflicts before they escalate.
The Grown-Up & Me Program is for toddlers 2.5–3 years old who are still in the developmental stage of impulse control and focuses on deepening the connection between their brains and bodies while working on gross motor skills like balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility. The Wee Kick Program is for preschoolers 3.5–6 years old and introduces impulse control through self-discipline while preparing pre-K and kindergarten children for the physicality and structure of more mature martial arts training, including learning about Personal Space and How to Set Boundaries. Alonzo Martial Arts starts as young as 2.5 years old with Grown-Up & Me classes and offers age-appropriate martial arts classes for toddlers, kids, teens, adults, and seniors.
The mission of the Kids Program is to encourage and motivate kids through martial arts from a Child Development perspective, with goals that include Social Skills, Communication Skills, Mindful Self Awareness, Kindness and Empathy, and Self-Regulation Skills, while nurturing Self-Esteem through martial arts training. The Adult Program aims to focus the mind, challenge the body, and nourish the spirit through various modes of martial arts training. The overall goal of all classes, especially the Kids Programs, is character development forged through adversity in a safe nurturing environment, with a commitment maintained by example from a Child Development perspective, and a belief that strong individuals working together build a strong community, starting with kids interacting respectfully, acting with kindness, using Social & Emotional Learning, and focusing on a Growth Mindset around failure, described as “Roots to Ground and Wings to Fly!”
New for 2024, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes are taught with a black belt from @deltabjj. Empowerment Self Defense (ESD) is offered with IMPACT Personal Safety, which is described as being in its 40th year empowering individuals against violent attacks. Alonzo Martial Arts is described as a top-rated martial arts school in the Los Angeles area.
