MG Martial Arts, Muay Thai, MMA & Fitness offers classes in American Kenpo Karate, Muay Thai Kickboxing, No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts (MMA), Fitness Kickboxing, Fitness & Cardio Kickboxing, and Women's Self-Defense. The program also includes a Women's Self-Defense Pink Belt Program that covers subjects related to personal safety, including sexual assaults and potentially abusive partners. Prospective students are encouraged to observe or participate in a complimentary introductory class for two weeks, and the program offers a free 2-week trial with no obligation, during which prospective members are welcome to participate in any class.

MG Martial Arts, Muay Thai, MMA & Fitness was established in 2012 as a dedicated martial arts studio offering a comprehensive range of classes and a strong, family-oriented community. The program serves the communities of South Montebello, Commerce, and East Los Angeles. The mission of MG Martial Arts is to provide practical and effective self-defense education for adults, children, teenagers, and families, recognizing the importance of self-defense in today's society.
Chief Instructor Maurice A. Gomez Sr. holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo Karate and is a multiple-time International Karate Champion in both self-defense and full-contact sparring, with over 60 first-place titles. He has been ranked among the world’s top 10 amateur fighters and recognized as one of Southern California’s premier competitors with a record of 36-1-1. He is a former Use of Force & Tactical Instructor for the Los Angeles Police Department and is currently a Licensed IKF Muay Thai Trainer. His women’s self-defense courses have been featured by NBC Latino, Univision, and the LA Times.
MG Martial Arts conducts official testing with rank certification under the WORLDWIDE Jeff Speakman's Kenpo 5.0 Karate Association. The program has received a Certificate of Recognition/Appreciation from the California State Senate in 2018, presented by State Senator Vanessa Delgado of the 32nd District. The studio offers an engaging and supportive learning environment, a comprehensive mixed martial arts program for a range of skill levels, and opportunities for competition within its strong, family-oriented community.
