Villa’s Taekwondo

Villa’s Taekwondo offers Kids Taekwondo for ages 5-12, Teens Taekwondo for ages 13-18, and a Competition Taekwondo Team. The program includes beginner, intermediate, advanced, and competition team classes, with Monday-Friday class options listed in the schedule.

Programs

• Kids Taekwondo — ages 5-12 · Introduces the fundamentals and basics of the martial art. Students improve their motor skills as they work to improve physically.
• Teens Taekwondo — ages 13-18 · Expands upon lessons taught in kids Taekwondo classes, continuing basic fundamentals and furthering toward more advanced movements with improved motor skills.
• Competition Taekwondo Team — Built to help students succeed on the mat with high-level instruction.
• Beginner — Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 4:30-5:20 PM
• Beginner & Intermediate (White – Green belts only) — Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 5:30-6:20 PM
• Intermediate — Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 5:25-6:15 PM
• Advanced — Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 6:20-7:10 PM
• Competition Team — Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 4:30-6:30 PM
• Competition Team (Intermediate and Advanced) — Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 6:30-9:00 PM
• Ages 9 & Younger — Tuesday, Thursday; 5:00-5:50 PM
• Ages 10+ — Tuesday, Thursday; 6:00-6:50 PM
• High Performance (Invitation only) — Tuesday, Thursday; 7:15-9:15 PM · Invitation only.

About the provider

Villa’s Taekwondo has served the Los Angeles Taekwondo community since 1995. The Villa family has provided Los Angeles Taekwondo for over 30 years, and Gus Villa took over the school in 2015 after his dad led the way for 20 years. The leadership team includes Master Gus Octavio Villa, Master Damian Villa, Master Octavio Villa, Alina Martirosyan, Aram Martirosyan, Ariana Martirosyan, Brisa Espinoza, Amelie Valiente, and Valeria Guillén. The school states that it focuses on helping each student work through their personal journey and grow in skill, confidence, and character.

Positive reinforcement. Productively critical. Students go at their own pace. Focus, perseverance, integrity, respect, and courtesy are taught. Two free weeks for kids ages 5+ are offered.
