Mixon Music Summer Camp

Mixon Music LA Summer Camp is a nonprofit summer musical theatre day camp where campers take part in yoga, dancing, singing, acting, aerial silks, art, and creating props and sets. The program includes 75 hours (3 weeks) of theatrical training, and the last day of camp features a performance where parents, families, and friends are invited.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday camp from July 13–31, with class hours 9:30am–2:30pm and optional aftercare 8am–4:00pm

Mixon Music LA Summer Camp serves children in grades 1–8 and offers a flexible schedule. Each teacher specializes in a different area of musicality, and the program offers a voice teacher, piano teacher, guitar teacher, audio recording engineer, and kid’s summer camp. Mixon Music teaches music lessons and theatrical classes to all ages with individualized lesson plans, and reports over 20 years of industry experience with thorough vetting of all teachers. The camp is managed by a married duo with new teachers and online services, with Rachel Howe Mixon as head of the group of teachers and director of the summer camp program, and Joshua Mixon as co-owner and hiring manager. The program states that it designs a process that is fun, provides growth, and is performance oriented.
