About

Neighborhood Youth Association Afterschool Program includes mentoring, tutoring, one-on-one academic support, and Friendship Groups led by Instructors and Youth Leaders. Participants take part in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) learning activities, creative writing, arts enrichment, Computer Programming, Rocketry, Robotics, and Documentary Filmmaking. The program also offers college readiness, personalized one-on-one mentorship and support from a dedicated college counselor, and options for vocational mentoring and training placement, along with mentoring and scholarships for college undergraduates.

• Ages: 13–18 years old
• Schedule: Afterschool options on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons
• Price: Suggested donation $100 per person, payable at the door.

Neighborhood Youth Association’s afterschool program serves students in grades 8–12. Neighborhood Youth Association empowers students to achieve 100% college placement and on-time high school graduation through mentoring, tutoring, and a holistic family approach to break cycles of poverty and vulnerability. The agency has been serving Greater Los Angeles since its founding downtown in 1906 and is marking 79 years of service to the Westside community, building on 120 years of success.
