About
Neighborhood Youth Association offers an Afterschool Program, Leadership Academy, Friendship Groups, STEAM Electives, Classes, Journalism, Yosemite, Lucas Scholars, and Participation. STEAM Electives include Computer Programming, Rocketry, Robotics, and Documentary Filmmaking. The Leadership Academy meets on Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday afternoons, and Thursday afternoons.

- Leadership Academy — high school students · Tuesday afternoons; Wednesday afternoons; Thursday afternoons · Focuses on college placement and skill-building. Students receive personalized, one-on-one mentorship and support from a dedicated college counselor.
- Friendship Groups — grades 8-12 · One-on-one academic support and mentorship.
- STEAM Electives — Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math electives including Computer Programming, Rocketry, Robotics, and Documentary Filmmaking.

About the provider
Neighborhood Youth Association has served Greater Los Angeles since its founding downtown in 1906. It is marking 79 years of service to the Westside community. Its mission is to help students achieve 100% college placement and on-time high school graduation through mentoring, tutoring, and a holistic family approach to break cycles of poverty and vulnerability.
