Blind Children’s Center

Blind Children’s Center offers fully inclusive classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, with sighted children integrated in each class. It provides orientation and mobility, including cane travel, pre-braille literacy, sensory development, individualized classroom adaptations and supports, and adaptive outdoor play in preschool. The Center also provides healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack, small class sizes, and home-based Early Head Start services.

Programs

• Infant Program — birth through 35 months; pregnant mothers
• Toddler Program — 18 months to 3 years old
• Preschool — 3 to 5 years old

About the provider

Founded in 1938, Blind Children’s Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with Head Start, Early Head Start, and CA State Preschool credentials. Parents, siblings, grandparents, and caregivers are included in the educational process through parent groups, committees, and one-on-one supports.
