Got Game Sports was founded in Philadelphia in 2004 by Korey Kalman, known as Coach K, and expanded to Los Angeles in 2010. Every coach and instructor goes through extensive screening and training, including first aid, CPR, weekly staff meetings, and ongoing trainings throughout the year. Got Game is a licensed childcare provider in California. The organization facilitates physical education programs for multiple Los Angeles elementary schools and offers comprehensive after school and specialty enrichment classes on many campuses.

The program states that it believes in building confidence through competition and describes itself as a premier provider for youth programming of all kinds in Los Angeles, with a focus on the idea that attitude is everything and that it is more than just a camp, but a culture. Got Game highlights core values of Attitude, Effort, Community (verb)™, treats community as something to build, foster, and facilitate, and uses the phrase “We Speak Kid!®”. It describes its coaches as a high energy group and notes that it launched virtual classes in March 2020 and continues to offer virtual camps and virtual after school options.

Parent and school feedback includes comments that coaches are described as a combination of fun and strict, that safety is taken seriously, and that there are many activity choices such as drama and basketball. Parents report their children “love” the camp, make friends, and look forward to returning, and describe the staff as kind, helpful, flexible, and energetic. Several parents mention their children coming home “happy and exhausted,” and principals and school leaders note Got Game’s emphasis on student safety, passion for improving the program, and positive impact on teachers and students.
