Sports camps and clinics are held year-round for campers ages 5–17, including summer, winter, and spring camps. The program includes an ongoing Camper/Counselor-In-Training program for boys and girls in grades 9–12, as well as Sports Specific Clinics and Camps geared for children in grades 2–9 to practice skills, build fundamentals, and work on confidence in a variety of sports. Travel Camp and Winter Travel Camp are offered for ages 5–12, with activities such as bowling and park play and adventures every day.

The staff at Saken are described as respected, well-trained, and experienced teachers, coaches, athletes, and college students in the community who have a passion for teaching children. Director Coach Rio leads the program, believes in a hands-on approach, and is involved in all aspects of the program, greeting and working with children daily, with high-level coaches leading each clinic with him. The camp states that it is family oriented, that each camper is made to feel like coming to camp is their second home, and that it is one of the most comprehensive and inclusive sports programs in the city, including Inclusive Summer Camp and Spring Camp and financial aid. Core values such as honesty, respect, teamwork, self-esteem, confidence, and excellent sportsmanship are promoted daily, and the camp’s mission states that it focuses on building character and emphasizes playing with pride, playing with honor, and playing for fun in a safe environment, with goals around sportsmanship, character, and self-confidence.

Saken Sports Camp’s mission states that all children should have a phenomenal camp experience regardless of gender, age, or athletic ability, and that campers do not have to be a “great athlete” to love Saken. The program offers summer awards such as Daily Morning “Shout-Outs” to campers in each group, Camper of the Day, Sportsperson of the Day, Camper of the Week, Camper of the Year, Sportsperson of the Year, and the Camp “Toddy Award.” Saken Sports Camp Inc. is described as an independent program that is not sanctioned, conducted, supervised, or reviewed by the School.
