The application deadline is May 1, 2026, and the enrollment deadline is June 6, 2026. The program is for high school musical theater students in grades 9 through 12 and focuses on the discipline and training required for participation in a university musical theater program or a career in the performing arts. Students receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program, and the program does not carry college credit. A maximum of one excused program absence is permitted. For 2026, on-campus housing is available for students 14–16 years old. Financial aid is not available for the Theater Laboratory Intensives, and students are directed to explore the American Theater Wing, Andrew Lloyd Weber Training Scholarship. For the audition process, applicants are instructed to use a good sounding speaker for the singing accompaniment backing track, film auditions against a blank wall or door with the device on a stationary object such as a tripod or table, wear tight fitting clothing for the dance audition so the body can clearly be seen, and film dance in a well-lit, spacious area where the whole body can be seen with ample room to move freely.
