Growing FootPrints

Growing FootPrints is built on HighScope. A week includes art, music, movement, language, mathematics, life skills, fun fitness, time outside, and handwriting through Learning Without Tears. It runs Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and year-round Morning, Morning Plus, and extended-day schedules are available.

About the provider

Growing FootPrints has been a mission outreach program of the Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos since 1993. Vanessa Manrique is the director, and she has been at Growing FootPrints since 1997. The teaching team includes Ms. Olga, Ms. Kristina, Ms. Emie, Ms. Karla, Ms. Karina, and Ms. Martha. Every teacher is qualified in early childhood education and certified in First Aid and CPR, and the program is a member of Californians for Quality Early Learning.

The state license covers toddlers from 18 to 36 months and preschoolers from age 3 through entry into first grade. Toilet training is not required to start. Teachers say a short, age-appropriate prayer before snack and before lunch. Tuition is charged monthly and does not change with the number of days in the month. Tuition is due on the first and late after the fifth. There are no make-up days. Withdrawing takes thirty days' written notice. Changing days or hours also takes thirty days' written notice and depends on space and the director's agreement.
