Ma’alot Farms Educational Experiences offers gardening workshops, farm tours, and hands-on learning of sustainable agricultural practices. The program includes farm-to-table cooking classes and cooking classes, as well as farm to table meals and local wine tastings. Participants can also volunteer with one of the cohorts, take part in family-friendly farm tours, tend the gardens, and join hands-on workshops focusing on sustainable living, resilient food production, self-sufficiency skills, and earth-based education.
Ma’alot Farms Educational Experiences is led by Founder and Executive Director Shoshana Ohriner. Its stated mission is to cultivate a healthier world through sustainable farming, regenerative practices, and community-centered food systems. The farm includes 16 acres, 146 animals, and 600 plant species, and it has donated 5,898 pounds of food. Ma’alot Farms donates produce directly to community partners, with Loaves and Fishes as its main community partner, whose food pantry it supports. The farm also has a farm market selling homemade goods made on the farm.
