The Boys & Girls Club of Merced County has provided a positive, healthy learning environment for children locally since 1993. Its mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need the program the most, to be productive, caring, and responsible individuals. The organization’s core values are Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County serves youth and families in the cities of Merced, Planada, Gustine, and Los Banos. Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County serves as a second home for hundreds of youth in the community, providing trusted mentorship, enriching programs, and opportunities, with a goal of preparing members to graduate high school with a plan for their futures. The Chief Executive Officer is Dr. May Moua. The organization is launching a capital campaign to build a permanent home where more young people across Merced County can feel supported, inspired, and empowered to thrive. A survey of more than 800 Merced residents shows strong support for the Boys & Girls Club and urges the High-Speed Rail Authority to help replace the Club being displaced.
