Mt. Carmel CYO Basketball offers basketball for boys and girls through an organized parish-based program. The program is part of the Marin CYO Athletics league and runs a full season of games and playoffs.
• Ages: 9–14 years old
• Schedule: Season begins in early November and ends with playoffs in mid March.
Mt. Carmel CYO basketball is a non profit, 100% volunteer run organization that serves over 400 kids each year. It offers boys and girls programs for 4th thru 8th grade and is a proud member of the Marin CYO Athletics league. Mt. Carmel CYO basketball has been participating in the Marin CYO Athletics league since 2002. The program is affiliated with Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, and players do not have to attend church or be members of the congregation in order to participate in the basketball program. The leadership team includes David Todd (Co-Athletic Director Programming), Janie Rockett (Tournament Director), Tory King (Co-Athletic Director Treasurer), Linh Pham DiPippa (Parish Liaison & Compliance), and Scott MacKenzie (Communications). Marin CYO states that it was founded on the values of respect, love, compassion, and support for each other, and that Marin CYO Athletics provides healthy growth through competition, teamwork, and life lessons through sports.
