Strawberry Recreation District Youth Programs

Strawberry Recreation District Youth Programs includes the Youth Scholarship Program for Marin County residents under 18 and Swim Lessons for ages 6 months to 18 years. Swim Lessons include parent-child intro to water, private lessons, and group lessons by age and level, and they are offered year-round in session-based formats lasting 2 to 7 weeks.

Programs

• Youth Scholarship Program — Marin County residents under the age of 18 · In partnership with the Tiburon Peninsula Foundation; aims to ensure children have access to recreational opportunities regardless of financial circumstances.
• Swim Lessons — 6 months-18 years · Year-round; session-based, running 2-7 weeks depending on the season; online registration only during designated registration days · Includes parent-child intro to water, private lessons, and group lessons by age/level.
• Adult Private & Group Lessons — 15 yrs and/or older · Typically scheduled on Friday afternoons; sessions offered year-round when staffing and pool space allow · Includes adult private lessons, beginner group lessons, and intermediate group lessons.

• Facility hours: Office Hours: Monday-Friday 9 am-5:30 pm; Saturday-Sunday closed. Pool Hours: Monday 8 am-6 pm; Tuesday 9 am-6 pm; Wednesday 8 am-6 pm; Thursday 9 am-6 pm; Friday 8 am-6 pm; Saturday 9 am-5 pm; Sunday 9 am-5 pm.

About the provider

Strawberry Recreation District was established in 1949. Its mission is to enrich the quality of life in the community by offering a range of recreational programs, parks, and facilities that promote health, wellness, learning, and fun. The district serves the unincorporated waterfront community of Strawberry and surrounding areas in Marin County, California.

SRD does not schedule lessons by individual request. All lessons are available for online registration only during designated registration days. SRD does not provide make up classes unless a class is cancelled by SRD. If SRD cancels a class, you will be issued a refund or a makeup class. A pool membership is required to swim outside of designated swim lesson time. SRD does not offer non-member drop-in rec swim; rec swimming is for pool members. SRD does not offer drop-in recreational swim for non-members.
