Strawberry Recreation District Youth Programs are part of a district that was established in 1949 and is managed by a General Manager who reports to an elected five-member Board of Directors. The mission of the Strawberry Recreation District is to enrich the quality of life in the community by offering a diverse range of recreational programs, parks, and facilities that promote health, wellness, learning, and fun. SRD is an independent state special district that serves the unincorporated waterfront community of Strawberry and surrounding areas in Marin County, California, and is located just 10 miles north of San Francisco. In partnership with the Tiburon Peninsula Foundation, SRD offers a Youth Scholarship Program for Marin County residents under the age of 18.
