Millbrae Nursery School

Millbrae Nursery Preschool is a nonprofit, cooperative preschool where children explore their world through play in classroom learning centers. Families manage the school’s administration, finances, housekeeping, and building maintenance, and family members regularly assist the school’s credentialed teachers in the classroom. The school is owned and operated by the parents of the children currently enrolled.

Since 1938, Millbrae Nursery School has been providing a safe and social educational experience for children 2–5 years of age and their families. The mission of Millbrae Nursery Preschool is to be participants in the creation of a stimulating, wholesome, and fun environment for the children, parents, and families of the school. The program is a cooperative preschool owned and operated by the current families enrolled, and enrollment is first come, first served. Participation in the cooperative school means becoming part of a community where parents and teachers form a network of support and camaraderie, and lasting friendships happen inside the walls of the school, not just between the children.
