Milpitas Unified School District Child Development Centers

Milpitas Unified School District Child Development Centers offers a Preschool Program for students 2.5 years and older. It includes part-time and full-time preschool options, and the program is open to families who are not Milpitas residents. It also offers Sunnyhills Extended Day Preschool and an After School, School Age Program for students enrolled in MUSD at an elementary school.

Programs

• Preschool Program — accepting students 2.5 years and older · Part Time Preschool Program and Full Time Preschool Program are offered. Do not have to be a resident of Milpitas to attend the programs.
• Sunnyhills Extended Day Preschool — 8:15-3:00pm, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) or 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) · $40–$50 per day · MUSD Employee Discount (20%) $40 day; full cost is $50 per day.
• After School, School Age Program — students enrolled in MUSD at an elementary school · 5 days a week · $30–$55 per day

Milpitas Unified School District’s Child Development Center states that it is committed to providing quality early education and notes the importance of early brain development and its impact on future learning and success. The program is a participant in Quality Matters and QRIS, and both preschool sites are independently rated at the high levels.

Enrollment is based on your home address. There are two centers: Rose Child Development Center and Sunnyhills Child Development Center. Programs do not have to be for Milpitas residents. Registration fee is $55.00, non-refundable, payable by cash or check written to MUSD only; no credit cards accepted; must pay in person at the Rose CDC or Sunnyhills CDC office. Subsidized families eligibility is determined based on sliding scale and family size and family monthly income.
