Beyond Alphabets offers a range of academic and enrichment activities, including Homework Tutoring (TK–12), Homeschool Enrichment Programs, Fine Art & Pottery Classes, and Spanish & French Language and Cultural Enrichment. The program also provides Afterschool Care with Transportation, Seasonal & Holiday Camps, Drop-In Programs for Flexible Care, a Family Night of Math and Science for K–5th graders, 3rd-grade religious education, and Finance, Accounting, and Operations Management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Beyond Alphabets states that its mission is to make learning accessible, meaningful, and fun by combining strong academics, creative expression, and hands-on learning, and to support, challenge, and encourage every child to grow at their own pace. The leadership team includes Founder and Educator Mrs. Rad, Lead Teacher Mrs. Macie Robison, Lead Teacher Mrs. Linda Shepard, and French Teacher Ms. Aurore Stalder. Staff credentials include degrees in Art with a concentration in Painting and Ceramics, Business, Accounting, English Literature, French, and Dance, along with formal education in Early Childhood Education, a valid teaching credential, a Master of Management, and a licensed CPA in the State of Illinois, as well as CPR and First Aid certification and International Baccalaureate achievements in French and English. Beyond Alphabets is approved by homeschool charter schools, is a participating provider for Children’s Home Society and the Orange County Regional Center, and is a vendor with the Orange County Department of Education subsidy program. The program reports a strong partnership with parents through open, consistent communication, personalized learning, hands-on activities, clear and intentional teaching, and a focus on small group settings, targeted one-on-one support, and individualized learning approaches, including structured, multisensory reading strategies and art-based engagement techniques. It identifies as a woman-owned educational center, emphasizes small-group instruction, academic structure, creative exploration, and whole-child development, and accepts charter funds as part of its community partnerships.
