I Can Academy

I Can Academy offers after school tutoring programs, a home school enrichment program, reading and writing, math, masterclasses, summer camps, homeschool days of instruction, and college prep programs. After school programs meet once or twice per week, and the base membership includes 4 tutoring sessions per month meeting at the same day and time each week. The programs use small-group instruction and are aligned with Common Core State Standards and California's English Language Arts adoption and new math adoption.

About the provider

I Can Academy is led by Shaina DeFusco, who is the founder, owner, lead tutor, teacher trainer, and curriculum designer. The about page says she has a degree in business marketing from SDSU, a Masters in the Arts of Education, and a teaching credential from UCI. The program uses credentialed educators, including local and experienced credentialed teachers, many with advanced degrees and extensive teaching experience. Its mission is to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to achieve their fullest potential through personalized, innovative, and engaging learning experiences.

Base membership consists of 4 tutoring sessions per month meeting at the same day and time each week. Small-group instruction is used. Programs align with Common Core State Standards and California's English Language Arts adoption and new math adoption.
