I Can Academy Tutoring Programs

I Can Academy Tutoring Programs offers after school tutoring programs, a home school enrichment program, masterclasses, summer camps, and homeschool days of instruction. Students take part in reading, writing, math, social skills, and college readiness activities as part of these programs.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with a base membership of 4 tutoring sessions per month that meet on the same day and time each week

I Can Academy Tutoring Programs uses standards-aligned pre-assessments to understand each child’s strengths and set goals, and offers personalized learning experiences for K–12 scholars. The programs include structured sessions that culminate in tangible accomplishments, small-group instruction, and tailored programs that align with Common Core State Standards and I Can Statements. The tutoring programs are taught by local and experienced credentialed teachers, including highly qualified teachers with advanced degrees and extensive teaching experience, and credentialed educators who specialize in small-group instruction.

The leadership team is led by founder and owner Shaina De Fusco, who also serves as lead tutor, teacher trainer, and curriculum designer. She is a native of Orange County, CA, holds a degree in business marketing from SDSU, and has a Masters in the Arts of Education and a teaching credential from UCI. The program’s mission is to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to achieve their fullest potential through personalized, innovative, and engaging learning experiences.

I Can Academy Tutoring Programs describes itself as a Mission Viejo tutoring center that serves many Orange County communities and emphasizes collaboration between educators and families. The program uses a growth mindset approach with I Can Affirmations and focuses on building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and instilling a lifelong love for learning.
