Marcelo “Bob” Lucena, also known as Professor Bob, is the lead instructor and is a 5th Degree Black Belt who has trained and competed with some of the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners in the world. When not teaching his students at his academy, he competes as a high-level black belt in many tournaments in the area, including the IBJJF World Master in Las Vegas. The program states that a BJJ instructor has to be constantly learning and keeping up to date on new techniques so they can teach students how to use and defend these techniques. Marcelo Lucena is described as a friendly and outgoing person who truly enjoys teaching.
Mission Jiu Jitsu was created with the concept of teaching adults and kids an extremely effective and useful martial art and having fun while doing it.
