Family Service Association has operated since 1953 and has grown from Riverside roots into a multi-service nonprofit serving families and individuals across the Inland Empire. The organization’s mission is to address poverty, hunger, and health, from infancy to older adults, in families and under-served communities. The Chief Executive Officer is Cheryl-Marie Hansberger. Family Service Association is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and its centers achieve NAEYC reaccreditation. The organization has been honored as California Nonprofit of the Year by Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh, and it has been chosen as Nonprofit of the Year by the City of Moreno Valley and recognized during the city’s State of the City. FSA supports more than 20,000 people each year with comprehensive support, including childcare, health services, senior meals, and community programs across Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
