Master MAQ

Master MAQ offers Taekwondo and Olympic Style Taekwondo (WT Rules). The program is part of a traditional MMA school that pulls from other styles so students train as well-rounded martial artists for defense. It also offers home classes for all ages and levels and a complimentary drop-in class.

• Ages: 5–18 years old

Master MAQ operates under the instruction of 6th Dan Black Belt Master Michael Quintana, with Program Director Dora Quintana, Grand Master Jeff King, and Grand Master Hyun K. Choi. Master Michael Quintana began training in 1998 and earned his first black belt in 2003. Master MAQ has been a proud vendor since 2017. The studio states that “A Black Belt is Only as Strong as Their Pack” and is the same studio that focuses on spreading the art of Taekwondo while developing leaders and self-confident individuals to the rank of black belt. Under the instruction of Master Michael Quintana and Program Director Dora Quintana, students learn to defend themselves while improving their overall health and fitness. The program also practices Olympic Style Taekwondo (WT Rules) for its competition team.

Master MAQ is part of the United Taekwondo Association (UTA), founded by Grand Master Hyun K. Choi. The UTA has a long history in Northern California of producing black belts with certification from the Kukkiwon (Taekwondo Headquarters) in South Korea.
