About

Morgan Hill PONY Baseball offers youth baseball that includes T-ball, coach pitch, and a combination of coach and kid pitch formats. Players take part in organized baseball games that follow Major League Baseball rules and use age-specific diamond sizes. The program includes between 10 and 14 games per season, depending on the division.

• Ages: 4–14 years old
• Schedule: Spring season with 14 regular season games played from mid-March through mid-May; one game during the week and one game on Saturday in spring; fall games on Saturdays only; practices on weekdays after 4:30pm, typically one to two times per week

Morgan Hill PONY Baseball has offered programs for local youth since 1974 and uses a two-year age bracketing system across its divisions, including options such as a 6U division with coach pitch or T-ball and an 8U division with coach and kid pitch. The league is a member of the national organization PONY Baseball, Inc., and operates under MHPB Bylaws that explain the structure of the board of directors and how the league operates. Its stated objective is to impart the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority through supervised competitive games, with winning described as secondary to the molding of future citizens.

The leadership team includes President Rick Long, Vice President Samantha Montelongo, Treasurer Jesse Williams, Secretary Ryan Langone, and Player Agent Neil Berman. Division representatives include Teri Larice (Champions), Jason Flores (Pony 14U), Jesse Williams (Bronco 12U), Eric Calderon (Mustang 10U), Matt Montelongo and Andrew Lane (Pinto 8U), Samantha Osborne and Alex Dorsey (Shetland 6U), and Daniel Cardwell (Club). Board staff roles include Boosters (Brooke Dorsey), Coaches/Training (Matt Leaf), Equipment (Crystal Lane), Fields (Ryan Langone), Member Emeritus and Umpires (Michael Myhre), Public Relations (Neil Berman), Snack Shack (Ashley Long), Sponsorship (Brittany Pierson), Webmaster (Jesse Williams and Robbie McGowan), At Large 1 (Kevin Brown), and At Large 2 (Mark Cummins). Parents and guardians are eligible to run for a committee member position on the board with a one-year commitment, and after serving one year as a committee member, they may run for an executive board position such as president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, or player agent.
