The Math Coach offers one-on-one math tutoring through in-person and online sessions. Students can work on topics including arithmetic, elementary school math, middle school math, high school math, college math, Common Core, pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, linear algebra, probability, statistics, and ACT, SAT, and GMAT exam preparation.

The Math Coach is led by Diana Chang, an Electronics Engineer with a master’s degree who has been a tutor for over 20 years and is known as Morgan Hill's Math Tutor. She is multilingual and can teach in English, Spanish, and Chinese, and has experience teaching students from Latin America, China, and the USA. The program uses a one-on-one tutoring approach, offers both in-person and online options, focuses on identifying gaps and building a strong foundation in math, develops personalized study plans after initial sessions, and emphasizes helping students become self-sufficient and independent learners in a caring, encouraging environment. The Math Coach states the mission, “Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it,” and has been in operation at least since 2017.
Parent and student testimonials describe students earning their first A in math, raising grades after a short period of tutoring, understanding challenging concepts through step-by-step explanations, and feeling that math topics and tests make sense after sessions with Diana.
