Slide Ranch Camps and Family Programs

Slide Ranch Camps and Family Programs offers family farm days, kids camps, workshops, and other hands-on farm experiences. Children and families can hike the trails, explore the coastline, say hello to friendly farm animals, milk goats, collect eggs, and cook farm-fresh food from the garden.

• Price: Visit Slide Ranch is free and open to the public from sunrise to sunset. No fees are required, though donations to support their mission are always welcome.

The Slide Ranch nonprofit organization was established in 1970. The founder is Doug Ferguson. The mission of Slide Ranch is to connect children and people of all ages to the outdoors and partner with community groups, families and educators to provide transformative learning experiences on their organic farm and national park land along the California coast. Slide Ranch is a partner of the Golden Gate National Parks and is one of the first Park Partners in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, a unit of the National Park Service. Each year, hundreds of children experience Slide Ranch on scholarship, and Slide Ranch partners with community groups, families and educators. Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead was one of their first donors.
