About

Free Range Farm School is a nonprofit program that meets at a barn and uses a classroom that extends out to gardens, pastures, and surrounding land with fruit trees and livestock. The program takes place on a family ranch setting that includes hundreds of fruit trees, gardens, cattle, horses, chickens, and other livestock, with a barn used for gatherings and events. It offers an evening program called Faith Rangers and a teen program called Ranch Hands.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Half-day, full-day, and evening options on Mondays and Wednesdays, plus a Friday half-day option

Free Range Farm School runs a 2025/2026 schedule that includes half days from 12:00–2:30 PM and 10:00 AM–12:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, full days from 10:00 AM–2:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, the Faith Rangers evening program on Wednesday nights from 6:00–8:00 PM, and the Ranch Hands teen program on Monday nights from 5:00–7:30 PM. The stated goal of Free Range Farm School is to cultivate a passion for lifelong learners and to provide outdoor education focused on where food comes from, farming, and farm animals. It is described as a family farm and homeschool family that teaches others about this way of life and about farm life. Free Range Farm School is a non-profit organization led by Kyle and Samantha Thompson, who both grew up in the area and are now raising their own children in the same way while teaching the community about farm life.
