About

PGA Camps introduces junior golfers to specific golf skills including putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, stroke play, and match play. Campers take part in competitions and activities that work on balance, coordination, locomotion, and body awareness. Students experience these skills through age-appropriate, game-based methods, and camps cover golf fundamentals including posture, grip, simple rules, and etiquette.

All PGA Camps are taught and directed by Certified PGA of America Professionals. Every junior golf Camp Director has been trained and tested in all aspects of the game by the PGA of America and is certified in junior-specific instruction, techniques, and strategies. PGA Camps use a patented Skill Progression Cycle that builds upon previous days’ teachings. The program welcomes boys and girls of all athletic abilities, golf experience, and competitive desire, and participants are segmented into small groups based on experience and skill level. Wee Ones Camps are designed for ages 5–7 as an introduction to golf; Half Day Camps for ages 6–13; Modified Full Day Camps for ages 8–16; Full Day Camps for ages 9–16; Indoor Camps for ages 6–18 using golf simulators in a technology-based training space; and Advanced Camps for boys and girls ages 12–17 who want to advance their game to a more competitive level.

The mission of PGA Camps is to share a passion for the game of golf with youths across the country, with a stated promise to support, encourage, and respect each camper and to authentically inspire them to reach their full potential on and off the golf course. The camps state that coaches emphasize fun and principled skill development, that the camps create a fun and educational reason to go outside and play, and that PGA Camps mimic real life and are full of action, discipline, and integrity. PGA Camps is described as a golf enrichment program designed exclusively for the development of the junior golfer, with nearly 180 camp locations nationwide in almost 40 states. The program also notes that Indoor Golf Camps offer a learning experience in an engaging environment utilizing golf simulators.

PGA Camps offers rental equipment for a specified price to provide the convenience of renting the necessary equipment required for participation. The program also notes involvement with Brandon's Goal, which creates awareness and raises money to support institutions, doctors, and organizations that are working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.
