About
Club TKD Martial Arts offers training in Taekwondo, Hapkido, Karate, Korean Karate, and self defense. Students practice specific skills such as jump kicks, punches, sparring, board breaking, and knife defense, and they also learn to use weapons including Bo Staff, nunchucks (including two nunchucks at the same time), two escrimas at the same time, and long bow staffs. The program also includes an After School Martial Arts Program and a Summer Camp.

Under the direction of Grandmaster Jeong Yup Yoo, the Martial Arts Program blends traditional Asian philosophy with a contemporary teaching style. The leadership team includes Grandmaster Jeong Yup Yoo, Master Yoo, and instructors such as Instructor Peter, Nicholas, Kevin, and Stevenson. The program offers a Transported Martial Arts Program, a Little Tigers program, a Children’s Martial Arts program, a Teens & Adults Martial Arts program, an After School Martial Arts Program, and a Summer Camp. The TKD do jang is described as bigger than any other do jang in the neighborhood, with lots of room to move around, and families who like the program on Facebook receive exclusive specials for its programs.
One parent reports that the after school martial arts program is “amazing” and describes the master and instructors as “the gold standard for martial arts.” A student review mentions learning many hand strikes and kicks for self defense, as well as how to use the Bo Staff, nunchucks, and knife defense, and notes that many friends from Sycamore Canyon, including Daniel, Alexander, Michael, Owen, and Sebastian, also attend. Another student, age 9, reports attending since age 3, working toward a 2nd degree black belt, and enjoying jump kicks, punches, using multiple weapons, board breaking, and sparring.
