Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Afterschool & Summer Programs offers homework help, academic support, and educational enrichment, including STEM programs and enrichment in STEM, arts, and creative learning. • Price: Annual membership is $60 for the first child and between $40–$45 for each additional child, with no fee for elementary school based sites
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley has been helping families across the Santa Clarita Valley since 1968 and is part of over 5,500 Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide. The organization operates 13 local clubs, including 4 full-service Clubhouses and 9 school-based sites, with programs that begin as young as Kindergarten at elementary school sites. The Newhall Club includes state-of-the-art facilities with technology labs and performance spaces, and transportation is available from many local schools to public clubs.
Programs are led by Youth Development Professionals in safe, supervised environments, with annual background checks for all staff and board members, zero tolerance for misconduct of any kind, mandatory reporting and strict supervision policies, prohibition of one-on-one interactions between staff and members, ongoing safety training and emergency preparedness, and access to a confidential, 24-hour Child Safety Hotline operated with Praesidium (866-607-SAFE). The programs are described as safe, affordable, and available year-round, with affordable afterschool and summer options for working families, and no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay.
The mission of Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley is to provide innovative programs designed to empower youth to excel in school, become good citizens and lead healthy productive lives. Community partners and donors support the Club through efforts such as the Annual Benefit Auction, which features cocktails, dinner, and silent and live auctions with exclusive experiences, and through a Donate Supplies program during July, August, and September that collects items such as backpacks, notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, calculators, sharpies, and protractors.
