Camp James Summer Day Camp

Camp James Summer Day Camp offers daily activities that include Archery, Go Carts, Rock Climbing, Kayak, Arts & Crafts, Dance, Sports, and Swimming. Each day, campers have 4 activities, including at least one water activity.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Weekly sessions from June 8–August 14, 2026, with camp hours 9:00 am–4:00 pm and a grace period from 8:30–9:00 am and 4:00–4:30 pm
• Price: There is a $35 registration fee per camper, and camp rates depend on the day of registration, with lower prices for earlier registration and minimum weeks required for each rate.

Camp James Summer Day Camp offers 10 weeks of summer camp, and packages are sold by the week. Parents can select their own schedule so campers attend only in the weeks they desire, and registration is open for campers attending 2 weeks or more, with savings available for early booking and multiple weeks. Groups are co-ed and organized according to age, and the camp does not overfill its groups. All activities take place on the camp grounds, and the camp is a cell-free environment; campers are asked to leave cell phones, watches, and tablets at home. An adult checks in each camper each day and picks up each day using a pick-up code, and families may use a drive-thru drop-off or walk campers in each morning; late campers must be checked in and escorted on foot to their group. The camp charges extra after 4:30 pm. Staff members use camp-only nicknames such as Legend, Cocoa, Northshore, Koda, and Grey Squirrel.

For over 30 years, Camp James Summer Day Camp has operated as a summer day camp in Orange County. Its stated philosophy is “Be Kind” to each other, the environment, and the campgrounds.
