About
Camp Pathfinder offers a land-based learning journey rooted in Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK), Cultural Emotional Intelligence, hands-on science, and creative exploration. Campers take part in immersive, TEK-inspired arts and science labs that include guidance from content experts, Cultural demonstrators, Native artisans, animal ambassadors, and Elders. Each day follows an elemental pathway aligned with the four cardinal directions: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water, and all children are welcomed, with special needs, dietary restrictions, and adaptive supports listed during registration.

The Museum of the American Indian states that it uplifts, supports, and makes visible the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas by offering authentic educational programs and cultural resources to Marin and the greater Bay Area. For over half a century, the center has been dedicated to celebrating and preserving Indigenous cultures. Support for this program has been provided by the California Arts Council, the Marin Community Foundation, the San Francisco Foundation, the Coast Miwok Tribal Council of Marin, First 5 Marin (for the Aay-Ko Indigenous Nature-Based Playgroup), California Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the CARES Act economic stabilization plan of 2020.
