About
North Bay Children’s Center Summer Camp offers a fun filled, theme based, weekly program where children take part in activities such as gardening, music, weekly field trips, and Water Play Friday. The camp also connects with North Bay Children’s Center’s Garden of Eatin’® program.
• Ages: 5–10 years old
Since 1988, North Bay Children’s Center programs have demonstrated success inspiring young minds and transforming the lives of thousands of children. The organization’s mission is providing high quality, affordable child care and innovative child development programs to more than 650 Marin and Sonoma families. North Bay Children’s Center is a 501(c)(3) Certified Organization.
The leadership team includes Laurel, who leads all financial strategy, contract management, budgeting, and planning; Donje Fields, Marin Area Director; Leydis Mata, Area Director; and Irma Mendoza, Enrollment Manager. Laurel brings more than eight years of nonprofit finance and accounting expertise to North Bay Children’s Center and holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of San Francisco and dual bachelor’s degrees in business/accounting and political science from Dominican University of California. Donje Fields has over seven years of experience in early childhood education and holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development. Leydis Mata brings over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College. Irma Mendoza has over 13 years of experience in early childhood education.
North Bay Children’s Center provides 4,410 hours of child care for single and working parents annually. Emily sits on the board of North Bay Children’s Center, and Jeanne has been active in fundraising efforts for several Marin non-profits focusing on the needs of children in the community.
Parent feedback about North Bay Children’s Center includes comments from Christine L., who notes that her son Henry has been attending the After School program for over a year and that she appreciates a curriculum that incorporates many of the educational approaches of their elementary school, as well as his time playing with friends and learning academic and social skills.
