North Bay Jiu Jitsu offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes, including Kids Jiu Jitsu, Adult Jiu Jitsu, No Gi Jiu Jitsu, and no-gi grappling. The program also includes boxing and MMA fitness. New students can attend a free 7 day trial, and a Gi (uniform) is available to borrow during the trial.

North Bay Jiu Jitsu has been proudly serving Novato and Marin County since 2014 and has trained over 2,300 students. The academy offers structured Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with a clear progression and a structured curriculum designed for long-term development, along with no-gi training that emphasizes wrestling, control, and practical submissions without the traditional gi. It hosts a Saturday Open Mat for the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community in Marin County and offers a free trial with no credit card information required.
Founder and owner Tryfon Stathopoulos is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, a 2x World Champion, and has over 25 years of experience, teaching since 2005. The leadership and instructor team includes brown belt instructor and academy administrator Sonia Lastreto, founding member and black belt instructor Chris Cashman, brown belt instructor Sebastian Uhalde, black belt instructor and main kids instructor Paulo Silva, BJJ purple belt and boxing and MMA fitness coach Dmytro Pakhan, and BJJ blue belt and No-Gi competition team captain Jacob Miller. Instructors at the academy include experienced competitors with medals at IBJJF Worlds, other major events, and gold medals at the JJWL Golden State Open. North Bay Jiu Jitsu serves students from across Marin County, including Novato, San Rafael, Fairfax, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, Larkspur, and Petaluma.
